Our company – and our industry in general – face a new business reality. At BESTSELLER, we want to contribute to a better tomorrow by using business as a force for good. We want to do our part to transform the industry for a sustainable future. It’s the right thing to do and it also makes good business sense.
This is a significant moment for our company as we introduce our ambitious new sustainability strategy – Fashion FWD. Sustainability and business go hand-in-hand. Building on the good progress we have made to date, we must now go to the next level so operating sustainably throughout our value chain becomes second nature to us.
Our strengths as a business are our agility and responsiveness to trends. We will apply these strengths to respond to the changing demands of our planet and society, and to speed up our transition to a more sustainable reality.
Our consumers and society at large expect more from the fashion world. Our Fashion FWD strategy outlines how sustainability can be incorporated throughout our business. By continuously optimising our value chain on social and environmental issues, setting science-based targets on greenhouse gas emissions so we operate within the limits of our planet, and by investing in new innovations across the life cycle of fashion, we can significantly improve our business and our industry.
I’m excited about what Fashion FWD will do for our company and to produce the best results, everyone must play a role. We understand the size of the challenge in front of us and we know that we will only achieve our goals by working together with our suppliers, partners and the rest of the fashion industry.
