FOSTERING INTERNATIONAL TALENT
BESTSELLER has provided insight into what we look for in a job applicant as part of our support of the international community in and around Aarhus.
Importing talent is a key element of recruitment in BESTSELLER, and our recruitment specialists are critically aware of the importance of helping an international employee’s family to settle in their new surroundings.
BESTSELLER recently hosted an event with the International Dual Career Network (IDCN) for people who have relocated to Denmark because of their spouse or partner’s work.
“Our partnership with IDCN has a dual purpose. The most important one is to provide a platform for the spouses of our international employees that will help them in their quest for a job in Denmark,” says BESTSELLER’s Talent Acquisition Manager Rasmus Niemann Kjær.
“The other purpose is of course to discover talent among this great pool of spouses that might be a great fit for our company.”
Around 75 people visited our Aarhus office to learn how they can improve their chances of getting a job in Denmark. The day involved mock interviews with our recruitment specialists, advice on how to use success stories in a personal pitch and roundtable discussions about the Danish job market.
Helene Tanguy, who is a Sales Supporter at JACK & JONES, also told her story and explained how IDCN helped her when she moved to Denmark.
“Looking for a job can be like a Danish winter. It is a long, cold experience but the participants and hosts of the IDCN community surround you with a heart-warming and supportive network,” Helene says.
“As a guest speaker, it has been a very humbling experience to share my story and the path I took to get a job in Denmark. I hope this inspires others to continue their journey full of motivation and persistence.”
