BESTSELLER COMMITS TO UNLEASH 2018
BESTSELLER will continue its commitment to UNLEASH by sending two talented colleagues to Singapore for the 2018 edition of the international sustainability event.
UNLEASH provides a platform for 1,000 talents from around the world to engage with corporations, think-tanks, foundations and non-profits to provide practical solutions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
BESTSELLER was a key partner and exclusive sponsor of the theme ‘Sustainable Consumption and Production' at the inaugural UNLEASH convention in Aarhus last year, while 11 handpicked BESTSELLER talents participated of which three went on to claim a silver medal at the event’s awards.
To continue the collaboration with UNLEASH, BESTSELLER has chosen to send MAMALICIOUS design assistant Sofie Winther and JACK & JONES key account supporter Fanni Lengyel to Singapore at the end of May.
Fanni wrote her Master’s thesis on the sustainability phenomenon of packaging-free grocery stores, while she also participated in the 2017 Innovate Food Challenge in Aarhus.
Sofie has twice attended the Youth Fashion Summit and was part of a delegation that presented their findings to the UN General Assembly’s Leader Summit in New York last year.
“I believe that sustainability has to be a part of everyday business and the 17 SDGs are a good framework to get started,” Sofie says.
“That is why I find the UNLEASH program a perfect opportunity for me to contribute and engage with other talents on finding solutions for a better and more sustainable future for the next generation.”
Fanni continues: “I find this event a wonderful opportunity for young talents to get involved in the world’s most pressing challenges.
“I am happy that my previous efforts in this area has been recognized and motivates me to show that I can make a difference representing BESTSELLER at UNLEASH 2018 in Singapore.”
UNLEASH 2018 will be held from 30 May to 6 June.
