Are you naturally curious and would you like to make an impact in how we modernize our existing system landscape to a new tech stack? Then the VMI replenishment team in BESTSELLER IT might just be the place for you!
In the VMI Replenishment team you will the get the chance to boost your professional & personal development by joining a well-established team, working based on agile principles. Bestseller is an ambitious company and serious investments are put into digitalizing the company.
VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) is a service towards our customers and here it is our responsibility to ensure that we ship the optimal amount of goods based on our customers sales and stock quantities on a daily basis. This requires not only to integrate with our customers but also to ensure stability and transparency of the connections. Currently, VMI is one of BESTSELLERS most profitable and fastest growing sales channels.
In BESTSELLER IT the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with hundreds of colleagues. As a team we have the full end-to-end responsibility of our products and services. Thus, we have rapid decision-making processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and we move fast from idea to execution.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop software solutions that supports our VMI sales channel as well as being a key driver to improve connectivity towards our customers. As we are having the end-to-end responsibility for our applications, we have a full-stack approach, though a tendency towards frontend development would be preferred. We work dual-track Kanban (product discovery in parallel to continuous delivery) and practice MVP-based development in iterations.
Which tasks will you get?
- Develop & maintain business logic in both the front-end and back-end based on Business requirements
- Collaborate with the team to solve complex problems
- Test & deploy applications
- Either you are a newly graduate or already have a few years of work experience
- You are familiar with Java (Springboot) and Angular TS
- You are object-oriented and organize your code in a logical structure to ensure optimal conditions for maintenance and reusability
- You don’t need to know about SCRUM or KANBAN – we will get you there, when you join us on our agile journey.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL
As a person, you have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies. Being part of a small, agile team, it comes natural to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems together. With your critical eye and sense for detail, you deliver quality code and take ownership and feel accountable for the team’s results. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire business to deliver solutions with the end-user in mind.
Generally, we prefer a good fit to the team over in-depth knowledge of a specific technology. If you are passionate about technology, inquisitive with the desire to learn, you really spark our interest.
We look forward to hearing from you
