The Winner is..

Saturday night, talented young dressage rider Cathrine Dufour became the 8th winner of BESTSELLER’s Olympic Hope Award.

We caught up with Cathrine minutes after she received the award on stage: “I’m really surprised and so happy. The nomination was a big pad on the shoulder and the other two nominees are so impressive, so to win the award is simply amazing. I’m really grateful,” she said.

The award was presented at the annual Danish Sports Awards, broadcasted live on Danish national TV, and the two former winners of the award, swimmer Rikke Møller Pedersen and para-athlete Daniel Wagner Jørgensen presented the award to Cathrine on the stage.

Through hard work and an open approach to competitors and other young talents, Cathrine has shown that it’s possible to produce results in a sport where the entry barriers to the elite level are very high. With her positive attitude, her unselfish approach to the sport and her amazing results, Cathrine is a true role model for the future generation of dressage riders and athletes alike.
