BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRAINEE IN BESTSELLER

There is only five days left until we close for applications, so now is your final chance to join this year’s International Business Trainee programme.

The BESTSELLER International Business Trainee programme – referred to as IBT – closes for applications on 4 March. The challenging two-year business trainee programme focuses on creating business specialists within specific business units.  As an IBT, you choose a field of specialty for the entire programme. You can choose to be a trainee within Sourcing, Retail Management, IT Business Technology and Development, Sales Management, Finance, E-commerce and Design.

“We are proud of our International Business Trainee Programme, and it is our ambition that with this programme, we will educate some of our future leaders in BESTSELLER. The trainees will become part of a high-performance culture where we are passionate about our work," explains Anders Holch Povlsen, owner and CEO of BESTSELLER.

The International Business Trainee Programme consists of three periods with practical work experience and four school gatherings which include both theoretical training and examinations. The first working period takes place in Denmark. For the following two periods, our trainees get the opportunity to gain work experience at one or two foreign BESTSELLER destinations.

Javier Aguilar, who began his IBT journey as a Finance IBT in September 2017, shares his experiences of being an IBT in a global organisation like BESTSELLER: “The IBT programme gives you the opportunity to grow professionally in a multicultural environment and work in different countries. As an IBT, you become a part of a group of people from all over the world, who are highly motivated to learn about other cultures, business and fashion”.

As an IBT, you will need to thrive in an environment where you will be given a lot of responsibility – this is one of the keys to success as an IBT. Juhi Pandey, IBT within Retail Management, emphasises this by saying: “Your team gives you so much responsibility and trusts you. When you get responsibility plus the freedom to be creative, you by default feel ownership.”
